What a joke deportation focusing on criminals?

Anybody who crosses the border illegally is a criminal.  Now they say they only want to focus on the hard core criminals.  If this is true then why even have immigration laws at all?  Every one of us except for native Americans and slaves from Africa are imiigrants.  The American Indians already lived here and the slaves from Africa didn't come here of their own free will.  But the millions of Hispanics who jumped the borders are law breakers pure and simple.

Money is power

Until we the American people wake up and see that money not votes drives the decisions in Washington nothing will ever change.  We should push for laws that would prohibit lobbyists and special interest groups from being able to help decide what laws get passed based upon how much money they contribute to political campaigns.  What good does it do for us to cast our votes if the same results end up happening anyway?  The whole things seems like one big joke, once you elect someone to go to Washington a strange trasformation takes place, almost as if they become brainwashed as to exactly how things will work and you will go along with it.

It's not an issue of where your from It's any issue of breaking the law

12 million, 14 million what's the difference.  The fact is we have a lot of people who don't think that laws apply to them.  It just so happens that most if not all of these people are hispanic.  I hear people who are of hispanic decent complaining that we are picking on them.  That's not the case at all the fact is amoung that large number of illegals are hardened criminals, robbers, rapists and on and on.

Why does Mexico and the Mexican people think they should get special treatment just because their country happens to be right next door.  This all goes back to the fact that we have had a system in place to allow people wishing to live to gain a path to citizenship.  Just because you happen to get into the country, find a job and maybe have a few kids doesn't lesson the crime.  You took that risk by jumping over the border.

It maybe time to look at updating the Constitution

For the most part the fathers of our country got everything just about right.  The only problem is that life was a lot different back then than it is now.  Life was a lot less complicated, you didn't have powerful lobbyist and special interest groups trying to run the country.  You didn't have millions of illegal immigrants fighting to stay here even though they broke the laws.

You are starting to hear talk in congress about looking at the 14th ammendment.  The main reason for this assessment would be the problem with anchor babies stemmed by the amount of illegal immigrants.  I totally agree with the need to re-look at this issue.  Our forefathers would be appaulled by what is currently going on in this country.  They above all others understand the principle of immigration and why we need to go thru proper channels in order to ensure security of our shores.  Look at the number of crimes related directly to the infiltration of our southern borders.  I hope the pressure keeps building on congress to do the right thing.

Are we headed for civil unrest?

In the 1800's Abraham Lincoln took a stand that moved the country into a state of civil war.  At that time the main issue was slavery.  Slavery was an issue that was both unjust and inhumane and needed to be delt with.  Immigration is something that was working fine until our neighbors from the south began to take matters into their own hands and disregard the laws of our country.  Now you have 12 to 14 million illegals who want our government to simply let everything go by the wayside and let them continue to live here in this country.

One small problem is that over 64% of Amercian citizens disagree with the idea of giving amnesty to illegals that to their illegal offspring who were born here.  Somehow I don't think the government approach is what is needed and there may come a time when the silent majority starts to take matters into their own hands.  It is not out of the question that we as a country maybe headed into some type of civil war.  Personnally I get tired of having to push 1 for english, anybody who lives here should be able to communicate in the english language, it's not my job to learn your language you came here to live.

Second this idea of simply giving in to the pressures of groups of unruly protestors is nuts.  If they want to walk up and down the streets of this country and wave the Mexican flag then they shouldn't be here this isn't Mexico, and if you live that flag so much why don't you move back to where it flys over the governemts that runs the place.  I have been looking a starting to buy firearms to protect my family and I'm sure the sales of fire arms are starting to ramp up if they haven't already.

Maybe it's time to say "Remember the Alamo"

The silent majority in this country are getting fed up.  If these antaganists don't stop trying to force us to accept these law breakers it is possible we could be looking at civil unrest.  The civil war was fought for a much different reason and one that still holds true today, but the idea of law breakers having the nerve to eat up our tax money and resources so they can stay here and scam the system is totally insane.

In the coming days and weeks you will start to see a ground swell of average Americans who are fed up rebeling in a way that won't be pretty.  So if your here illegally it maybe time to pack up your burro and head on back to Mexico City or wherever you came from.

Protests by illegal is absurb

First of all stop waving that ridiculous MEXICAN flag around, if you like Mexico so much why don't you go back.  This question of proper ID's is a very good idea.  Just like in Indiana now we have to show ID before purchasing any achohic beverage, so what's the big hub bub?  If your here legally then there isn't any problem, if your here illegally then you need to be sent packing and don't come back.

One solution that would work

Heavy fines for employers hiring any illegal would turn off the spikett, thereby making it nearly impossible for them to gain employment.

The Goshen effect

I live in northern Indiana. Approximately 25 miles southeast of us is the City of Goshen, In. Goshen is close to Elkhart, In which is the RV capital of the world. During the boom times thousands of illegals made their way to northern Indiana to work for any one of 100 manufacturers. The problems was most of them could not speak english, the crime rate in Goshen went from non-existant to dealing with gangs and various other crimes. The cost to the city and taxpayers was enormous. The hospitals were inindated with high number of uninsured patients. You get the picture.
