The lastest news regarding the southern borders is some of the radical Islamic groups are looking at the ease that illegals have crossing over into our country. Can you imagine if along with the drug cartel now you add suicide bombers to the list. Pretty soon every American will have to strap on a sidearm just like in the old west. Our safety and our security are at stake here.
I say you build a wall to wall fence and then electrify it. Create a dead zone in between two fences and let trained guard dogs rome the area. It would be sort of like a mote at a castle in mid-evil times. Our econmoy isn't really getting any better and all we need is for more illegals to come in here and steal more jobs from citizens
In most people's mind there is no middle ground. It seems that the question here is do we as Americans uphold the laws of our country or just turn a blind eye to the mass influx of illegals to our country?

Nebraska has the right idea
One town in Nebraska has the right idea. Fine those employers who hire undocumented workers. Verify that they are who they say they are. It shouldn't be very hard, since most of them don't even take the time to learn our language. I've seen customers who still carry Mexican drivers licenses. This whole issue makes my blood boil.
I believe you will see more and more communities taking action to get rid of this problem. It costs us all lots of money to have these law-breakers roming around everywhere. The only real way to stop them is the choke off the supply of jobs by holding a hard line on proper indentification. After all there are over 10% of the legals citizens unemployed who could use some of those jobs to help feed their families. Let the president of Mexico find a way to feed it's own people.

Federal government working on law suit against Arizona
I've never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life. Of course your going to end up with racial profiliing since 12 to 14 million illegals all came from the same country MEXICO!!. What do they expect the people from Arizona to do set by while their property is destroyed and watch their neighbers being murdered and raped!
I thing the federal government should be worrying about more important things like putting 10% of it's legal citizens back to work, fixing the oil spill in the gulf and keeping our troops safe overseas. The hell with the illegal immigrants. Ship them all back to where they came from. They have no right to be here. There are lots of people from other countries patiently waiting in line to go thru proper channels to become American citizens. Someone should tell these people to wake up the smell the coffee.

If we don't fix the immigration problem then what's next?
Look at what has happened in our country. We have people up in arm because they can't simply walk into our country and do whatever they want. You have people of the same sex going against God's word and asking for the right to marry. What other special interest group will stick it's ugly head up and want some unusal laws or rights that fit their petciular needs.
Our country was founded on all the right principles and ideas and now it seems like no one wants to stick to what brought us to this point in time.

Local governments catching on to the solution
Fining employers for hiring people without proper identification. This will cut off the flow of money back to Mexico and the myth that anyone can come in here and find work and skirt the law. This will stop the problem of 45 people all holding the same social security number.
You can say what you want but we have to have laws and ways of regulating who comes and go into our country. If the people who wrote the constitiution came back today they would have wondered why they even bothered to write it. Everybody wnats to do thing their way. This is a good way to start another civil war.

It's not the country it's the principle
This blog is not a knock on the hispanic people in general. If it were Canadians it would be the same problem. In a world where it seems everyone is out to kill you, it's prudent to know who is coming and going across our sovern borders. I know lots of hard working hispanics that are American citizens. But the fact is you can't put up with million of undocumented people wandering around the country. Maybe Alkaida will figure this out and start recruiting illegals from Mexico.
We need strict laws that hold to the principle that made us a great country.

How about Mexico sharing the cost?
The United states costs to contain border security keep rising. How about our neighbor to the south bearing some of the burden, after all it's not American sneeking into Mexico, But Mexicans sneeking into our country. If I were the Mexican government maybe to me that would be a sign that there not doing too good a job if everybody wants to leave the country.
The violence will only intensify as time goes on Americans are getting fed up with all the nonsense. Illegals taking our jobs, destroying our property and generally disregarding all our laws and regulations

Hispanic boy shot and killed
As unfortunate as it is, the fact remains that the illegals are crossing the border of another country illegally. The border patrol have live weapons. They are besieged by thousands of attempts to cross. The drug cartels are hell bent upon delivering their product to our country.
My suggesstion is the way to keep this from happening again is to abide by the laws and incidents like this will not happen again.

Bullets make good neighbors
You've heard the old line that "fences make good neighbors". In this case it would be changed to bullets make good neighbors. Nothing done so far seems to slow down the flow of illegals over our borders. I say we just start shooting them as they come over. Maybe then someone would get the idea that we are serious about protecting our borders.
The president of Mexico doesn't seem too concerned about his people crossing the borders illegally. All he had to say was how unfair the law in Arizona was. He needs to get a dose of reality.

The scales of justice are starting to tip
As time goes on more and more people are finding the new law in Arizona maybe the answer. The polls show a majority of Americans are in favor of similar laws in their states. I just can't understand how all those people who crossed our borders illegally have the nerve to think it's ok to be here, and think it's ok to protest our laws. Hey there's the door.

One solution that would work
Heavy fines for employers hiring any illegal would turn off the spikett, thereby making it nearly impossible for them to gain employment.
The Goshen effect
I live in northern Indiana. Approximately 25 miles southeast of us is the City of Goshen, In. Goshen is close to Elkhart, In which is the RV capital of the world. During the boom times thousands of illegals made their way to northern Indiana to work for any one of 100 manufacturers. The problems was most of them could not speak english, the crime rate in Goshen went from non-existant to dealing with gangs and various other crimes. The cost to the city and taxpayers was enormous. The hospitals were inindated with high number of uninsured patients. You get the picture.
